International Conference “Internet and Modern Society” (IMS-2017) is mainly organized by ITMO University, held in St. Petersburg, from 21 to 23 June 2017, during the Information Society Week. Conference consists of international Symposium and will be held in the form of scientific seminars, round tables and a poster session.
Important tasks of the IMS-2017 are contribution to the formation of specialists’ international community and promotion of research and development in the field of information society technologies.

International academic workshop "Information Technology & Culture» (ITC‑2017), 22-23 June 2017
The workshop is an international component of the joined conference "Internet and Modern Society" (IMS). The workshop is devoted to the discussion of current issues and trends in interaction between culture and technology: development of technological solutions in the field of culture, as well as sociohumanitarian aspects and problems of information technology impact on culture transformation. The target audience is community of researchers who focuses on socio-humanitarian and technological aspects of culture and society, the staff of cultural institutions, universities and research labs, creative professionals, experts in the field of information and communication technologies and creative industries. The new academic Multimedia Online Journal “International Culture & Technology Studies” (http://cat.ifmo.ru) will be presented on the workshop. The language of the workshop is English. Papers (after completing the procedure of double blind review) will be published in conference proceedings sent to Scopus.

The workshop will be devoted to the actual issues of interaction of linguistics and information technology – regarding the development of technology solutions on the basis of a natural language, and the influence of information technologies on the language. Target audience are linguists of all profiles, the staff of organizations developing information systems that involve natural language processing, specialists in knowledge representation, higher education teachers, translators.
Research seminar “Governance through Collaboration: New Designs and Platforms for Government-Citizen Relations in Public Policy” (GtC2017), June 23-24, 2017.
18th Research Seminar of the Russian Political Science Association (RC on Comparative Politics) co-sponsored by the IPSA RC-48 on Administrative Culture will be held at St. Petersburg State University on June 23-24, 2017. The proposed meeting of the seminar is focused on the presentation of research materials relating to ‘governance through collaboration,’ ‘co-creation’, and ‘co-production’ of public policy. In this regard, the conference welcomes reports describing the best practices of the implementation of collaboration in public policy in different cultural contexts, and the relationship between the concepts of ‘co-creation’ and ‘co-production’ and "inclusive innovation" in the description of public policy in new developing economies as well as ensuring transparency, citizen-generated data and Internet resources for public policy. Moreover the seminar welcomes reports describing innovative processes of collaboration in policy design, the structure and organization of public policy, public governance in different fields of policies in individual countries and in a comparative perspective.
